Too Lazy to Make Biscuits?

But want some of that good gravy you made from the bacon drippings?  Not a problem!  I nearly threw away a half loaf of French bread this morning.  It was several days past day old.  Aha!  Brought out the food processor and gave it a whirl, reduced it to crumbs.  Spread those on a baking tin and toasted them in the oven for a few minutes.  I suppose you could do the toasting on the stove top in another pan with the added bonus of using a bit of butter “just for the color”.
