Seafood Central

I finally got internet access back after being without for the last couple of days.   So I thought I would send in a note about my culinary experiences so far in Rhode Island – I’ve eaten crab for every meal except breakfast and I love it.  I had soft shell crab last night at a place in Newport called The Black Pearl Tavern and I had a crab cake sandwich for lunch which was quite tasty.

We’re headed to Boston tomorrow and I’ll see what I can find there.  Does anyone have any recommendations for good seafood in Boston?

  1. If it were summer I’d tell you to try any roadside shack between Middleboro and Cape Cod. My expertise in MA is Italian. If you want authentic Italian, walk through the Northend and stop in any of the little restaurants, you’re bound to find something wonderful. And while you’re there, walk the Freedom Trail.

Hope you’re having fun, can’t wait to hear all about it. I hope you take more pix than I managed to in NOLA.

  2. Thanks for the idea, I love Italian. The Freedom Trail is exactly what we are planning to do tomorrow, it seems like the best way to see Boston in the shortest time.
