General Tso’s Chicken

I had a hankering for a Chinese buffet tonight but didn’t want to go out.  Made some lo mein and some fried rice, stir fried some chicken and broccoli, assembled a Mongolian Beef dish with mushrooms and Szechuan peppercorns, and tried a new recipe for the chicken.

I went straight to the Rasa Malaysia site for their take on the dish.  They haven’t steered me wrong yet and today’s recipe was fun, easy, and delicious.   All in all, it wasn’t too bad an effort but it about wore me out.  I may just go ahead into town the next time the urge hits.

  1. We will be eating leftovers for a few days from that spread. I posted the link to the pic at Balloon Juice the other day just to see how well it worked. Haven’t directly linked much to the media items we have archived. Does FYWP have a policy on it? Flickr says they don’t like it although I’ve done it. Against their “guidlines”.

  2. As far as I know, it’s perfectly fine. Can’t imagine why they would object (why does flickr?). Besides, didn’t I pay for some of that archive space anyway?

EDIT: lately I’ve been really impressed with WP, I’ve had some serious questions – especially when I went to map my domain name to our blog – and they were very helpful.

  3. I sure don’t see any problem with it, though I can see why Flickr doesn’t like it, the pic gets viewed without any anyone seeing the Flickr or Yahoo! logos or other links to their stuff..Sets up a problem with Reddit – some of the subReddits insist on direct links to pics. I had a back and forth with one moderator at r/food that ended with me being banned because of it.
