Thanks. The little black one is the tuxedo’s mom. I fostered her and her five 1-day old kittens. Everyone found a home, but the tuxedo made it clear he wanted to stay and his mamma just wrapped herself around my heart.
I love how you refer to that giant black cat as “little”. This is a gender-swapped version of my first two cats; Shada (my 6-lb. tuxedo) was no cat’s mother as she had been spayed as an adolescent kitten right before I adopted her. She passed away last spring at the tender age of 18-1/2. Zorro, my own big black tank of a cat is still with me, and his new little brother Mango (orange and white) has joined us.
I think it’s a illusion of the photo, because she is tiny and dainty, she was only 7 mos old when she gave birth to 5 kittens, I’m still not sure how she did it, and I think it kind of stunted her growth. Thanks sharing your furry friend stories, i love hearing them.
I’m always glad to see happily homed basement cats. Lucky you!
