I was out this morning watering the patio flowers and noticed this hummingbird moth flitting about. I dropped the hose and ran in for my camera and spent a few minutes chasing him around the patio as he went from flower to flower. Little bugger never held still for more that a second and he was hard to capture in focus.
I think I get nearly as much satisfaction capturing this fellow as I do snapping photos of the praying mantises.

Okay, you’re totally right. That is cold…I didn’t realize they ate moths or could even catch this..Lucky you for being able to spot such a sight though!
