Random Wildlife

DSC_3960 [1600x1200]Several times a year we see turtles crossing the yard.  This is one of what we call sliders.  They sun themselves right at the edge of the water, or crowd upon a floating log, and slide into the water when approached.  This one was heading towards the front pond, whether returning to it or coming from the other I don’t know.  I do know they crawl from the pond to lay eggs some distance away but I don’t think the season is right for that now.
