Yay! The major appliances have arrived.  Not sure when the plumber will be here to hook up the gas to the stove and water to the fridge. The fridge even has a coffee maker in the door, an attachment holds a coffee pod that uses hot water from a dispenser in the door.  Not sure if it will be useful or just a gimmick.Unloading the stove.  It’s a 36 inch dual fuel range – electric oven and gas burners at the top.  We’re installing a range hood for it that will exhaust through a vent in the roof.  I hope it gives the smoke alarm a rest.  The installer is in the  attic  space as I type this.Meanwhile in the basement, the electric skillet is getting a workout.  I used it as a slow cooker for these pork chops.  Browned them then reduced the heat.  Lots of onions and a jalapeno..followed by a little bbq sauce and a couple of cans of pinto beans along with various seasonings.Mostly our meals are simple sammiches or one pot meals.  Soups and stews, grilled cheese, chili, etc.I made a big pot of Italian beef and smoked a pork shoulder to freeze and thaw as needed.  Made up a lot of sides but those are mostly gone now.  Kroger sells a pretty good potato salad.Breakfast for dinner is still a popular option.Bitsy checks out some sushi grade tuna on one of the Youtube foodie episodes.  The cats are freaked out by all the commotion.  Ginger Boy spends the day under the couch with Ollie.  Gabe is a happy puppeh with all the new people to greet.
