Kroger has a house brand version of these raw tortillas. I have a pot on the stove with oil leftover from deep frying those shrimp the other day so I experimented a bit.I knew they would puff up so this one was heavily docked. It still wanted to bubble up. I left it in the oil too long, it was just a tad too crisp to give this a proper burrito tuck and roll. This one was briefly dipped in the hot oil then patted with paper towels to remove excess oil. After cooling a bit I rolled it with beef, beans, and cheddar and eased it back into the fryer. Chimichanga! The dipping sauce is a mix of nacho cheese from a jar and guacamole. The color is unfortunate but the sauce is tasty, nonetheless.
