Onion Rings with a Sammich Side

Dipped in batter then rolled in panko.  Get best results by letting the batter dipped rings drain and dry a tad on a rack before adding the bread crumbs.  I place the battered rings one at a time in a small bowl with the crumbs and shake and toss to coat.  Keep them on a plate until they are all coated or else do a few and drop them into the hot oil while you coat a few more.  Remember to season them while they are hot.
