Prime Rib Practice

Kroger has been reliably stocking rib roasts for the holiday season so I grabbed a couple smallish ones.  They were 11/2 – 2″.  This one was a single rib but was cut with plenty of room on both sides so I was able to split it down the center after the rib was cut free.
It spent the day in a 134° water bath,  I finished it for 10 minutes in a 500° oven.  I served Mrs J’s half with the cut side down because she is still put off by the pink but mine is displayed in the photo in all it’s rare-ish glory.
