A neighbor stopped by with a gift of some ground venison the other day. I tried a new recipe for homemade sausage – this is how it looked after about 8 hours in a 200° oven. Each of those started out as a little over a pound of ground meat.Still warm from the oven it was ridiculously good, The recipe was pretty bland, relatively speaking. The next batch is going to be kicked up a notch with more pepper and garlic. I’ll use some of that lean ground beef from that grass fed batch I’ve been crying about.
