I’ve had a vac-sealed bag of pastrami in a freezer for so long I can’t remember making it. It was still fine with some bread machine rye bread, homemade sauerkraut and jack cheese. The bread didn’t seem to brown properly and I was ready to blame it on the rather old rye flour I’ve been keeping in the freezer but when I looked up the recipe just now to link it I realized I had forgotten the brown sugar.
