*Four layers because that’s what I had around the house. You can add whatever else makes you happy.
First, the cookie dough:
- 1 stick butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 -1/4 cup unbleached flour
8×8 baking dish, bowl
Cream butter and sugar until creamy, add egg and mix well. Incorporate remaining ingredients. Spread evenly in an 8×8 baking dish.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Remove and layer the following:
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
Return to the oven and bake another 10 minutes, or until the cookie is cooked through.
Let cool and cut into squares.
