Hot from the oven. I was wanting to try out the microwave pasta cooker with lasagna. I loaded it with 9 of the big noodles and filled it to the recommended level with water. It said 16-18 minutes so I went with 17. Some sticking together at the ends on a few but I judged it to be at least as competent at it as I am. It went into a 350 oven for an hour.
After a decent interval for cooling I served it up for lunch. This one was ricotta plus a small bag of Italian Blend cheeses with a splash of half and half, a couple eggs, and the usual powders and herbs – plenty of garlic. A basic meat sauce with mild Italian sausage rounded out the recipe.
