Meatloaf – Food of the Gods

Half hot Italian sausage and half ground beef with all the usual additions. Just for fun I painted the sauce all over it plus the puddle on top.

It all worked out well enough. I saved some of that grease in the pan to roast the previously boiled potatoes.

I still have some gravy in the fridge because I keep amending it with pertinent things, in this case ketchup and brown sugar. The sprouts I steamed in a covered skillet with enough water to get them tender and finished with olive oil and a splash of balsamic vinegar.
