Brown Sugar

I’ve known for ages that, theoretically, you can make brown sugar from molasses and plain, granulated, white sugar. We were running low on brown sugar and we are out of baked beans so I put the theory into practice for the first time. I started with 1 cup sugar and drizzled molasses. Work the wet into the dry with your fingers. It seems that 3 tsp (1 Tbsp) per cup makes a light brown sugar that is just like what comes in the bag from Kroger. Bonus! Add more molasses to make it as dark as you need it to be.
