We cooked a whole chicken and had a nice meal with a few of the pieces. We try to keep a whole chicken on hand. I roasted one this morning, the bird perched upon a can sized fixture about the size of a beer can so I need to add one to the grocery list. I plan to roast the carcass for a nice broth. With more gravy we can have a nice chicken supper with the rest of the meat, and wide noodles. I think the leftover veggies will go in at the end to just warm. I can use the mashed potatoes to thicken the stew.
