It’s a bog standard mid-western chili with beans because this ain’t Texas. I still had some pinto beans leftover so that’s what went into this, with a pound of ground beef, a can of tomato bits, onions, peppers, and various chili powders.

The plan was to do chili dogs for supper but a rummage through the freezer didn’t turn up any dog buns.

I gave making my own buns a try but my bun-fu was weak. We’ll see it through. I never was much of a hand at hot dog buns and these are not even my worst. I did try out the egg wash on them to get the seeds to stick. Those are black sesame seeds
