My tomato plant was done. There were plenty of tomatoes on it but they were struggling to ripen. We had a good run with it. I didn’t count the number of BELTs we made but there were a bunch of them. Going to slice some for a go at fried green tomatoes.
I asked Mrs J what can we fix to go with? Shrimp! Let it be done. Let it be written (about). I fixed a remoulade to dip the tomatoes into that was so good that the classic cocktail sauce I set out to give a choice languished because it is great with both. The tomatoes got the flour>buttermilk/egg>corn meal/bread crumb treatment. I fried them in shallow oil while the shrimp cooked in the air fryer.
