I did a whole chicken beer can style with garlic and Aleppo peppers. Two potatoes went into the oven to roast in the juices. I steamed some broccoli and added some baby carrots, forgetting that those babies took longer to soften than the broccoli. They weren’t crunchy, exactly, but not far from it. The little cup at the top has the last of the most recent batch of vinegar based bbq sauce. I ran across a recipe for a bbq sauce that I thought lost that I’ll be making soon.
The leftover chicken went into the gravy made from the collected fat, along with some frozen veggies. The biscuit was baked using a half recipe for butter pan biscuits. The recipe doesn’t mention it but I’ve been sprinkling kosher salt atop the batter before baking to good effect.
