I took a notion to try out my Instapot on a frozen chunk of beef. It weighed about 2 pounds or so. I gave it, a few carrots, a large potato, a fair sized onion, and a few cups of beef broth 75 minutes with a natural cool down and ended up here. The beef was tender, the potatoes were fine, but the carrots were mushy. The juices made a fantastic gravy when I stirred in enough corn starch to thicken. We had a bit of meat and quite a lot of gravy left over.
We extended the gravy with some water plus an instant gravy mix I wanted to try, ground beef, and frozen veggies. I made a half recipe of those butter pan biscuits and we had a pretty good Saturday dinner.
