I found a few chunks of cod in the freezer and gave them the flour>batter>panko treatment. The onion I had for rings was really too small but I managed a few skinny ones. They got the same prep as the fish. It was all good but made a mess in the kitchen. Those frozen rings are popular for a good reason. I rustled up my ancient bottle of malt vinegar for the fish, and ketchup for the rings.

Mrs J was raised within spitting distance of the Mississippi, had commercial fishermen for neighbors, and ate fish all the time.
