Got Soup?

We are always collecting kitchen scraps for making stock. All peelings, cores, skins, onion ends, chicken bones, etc., go into a freezer bag until we have enough:

They simmer a good while, then are strained out and the stock goes into plastic containers for freezing, the scraps are put out, well away from the house, for critters: possums, raccoons, vultures, coyotes, hawks – first come first served:
