Photo by JeffreyW Heading out of town, but wanted to leave you with one of my favorite recipes. I’m off to Boston…hoping for good weather and good food. Good company is a given. When I get back I think I want to tackle some fun Halloween ideas. This is a fairly simple Chicken Parmesan and … Continue reading Dinner Menu: Quick and Easy Chicken Parmesan
My house was the most popular house on the block this week. That’s because I decided to make a different batch of frozen treats everyday. All so you could have something fun for the holiday weekend. I toiled away in the kitchen and gave no thought whatsoever to my hips, freezing and taste-testing five batches … Continue reading Friday Recipe Exchange: Frozen Sweet Treats
I know I didn’t get a recipe up this week. I’ll make up for it, I’ve got a week of ice cream, gelato and sorbet recipes ready to go, leading up to the Friday Recipe Exchange. I have some nice photos and videos from my rides and hikes this week, that I might get uploaded, … Continue reading A Little Dinner Music: The Man Who Cannot Be Moved, The Script
Did a little strawberry ice cream. Next I want to try to find a good recipe for Gelato. Edit: Just found a recipe for Key Lime Pie Gelato. Think this one might be the one.

Seasonings were simple, covered the steaks with fresh ground pepper and garlic. Grilled the corn in the husks (with … Continue reading Cooking, Cooking and More, Well, Cooking
It’s cold and snowy. Again. Winter is dragging on too long, in my opinion. I decided I needed comfort food, and by comfort food, I mean I needed something only my mom makes. So I called my mom and asked her for her Chicken Cacciatore recipe, one of my favorite childhood dinners (what can I say, I’m half Italian – and don’t tell Child Services, but it was served with a nice wine to everyone, including the kids). This is guaranteed to chase away the deepest winter blues.
A little bit of comfort food (at least Ravioli is in my house) for what has been a very cold and busy week. On the board tonight:
Ravioli w/ Rosemary Basil Cream Sauce
Tossed Salad w/Italian Dressing & Parmesan Cheese
Sorbet or Gelato
