She’s just silly…and huge. Baby bobcat, indeed.
I owe you recipes…

All you need to know about Willow’s personality is what happened this morning. I was cleaning the litterbox (around the same time every morning) and she jumped in, looked at me, and proceeded to do her business.
Like, never mind what I was doing.
Most cats wait until AFTER you clean it to go mess it up again. Not this one.
Willow just barges in wherever and whenever she wants. It’s her world, we just reside in it.
I know I’ve been MIA for quite a while. We’ve been doing a bit of remodeling. Between that and getting the gardens ready for summer is about all the time I have each day. Not to mention editing the latest novel.
I have a ton of photos of how the front yard has evolved this spring. I’m really pleased with it and how low maintenance it has been. My small rock garden is causing me more headaches than the entire front yard.
Bonus muddy ducks (I do adore it when they get all mud covered). They’ve been enjoying the rainy weather.
I have not been doing much cooking, but I will pull some summer menus this week and post at least one as grilling season commences.
Until then…
This morning she’s helping me water the tomato and pepper plants.
I started my seedlings very early this year because I have a little greenhouse to move them to, once we stop having overnight temps in the low teens. Which should have ended in March, but nope, we’re breaking record low records the past week. My kitchen is now a jungle, but I’m not complaining, I just keep imagining the great tomatoes and peppers this summer.
I have seedlings planted over three plantings, so by the time we can plant in-ground, the last seeds will be ready to transplant.
This year so far: San Marzano, Park Whopper, Better Boy, Whopper Green Peppers, Whopper Jalapenos (those could scare me). They will be joined by Whopper Cucumbers and some zucchini and I’m also thinking maybe corn this year, since I’ll have some extra space.
I’m trying out planting bags this year for the tomatoes, we’ll see how that goes.
She’s “helping.” This is a constant thing for her, I’m cooking, she’s “assisting.” This morning, I’m shredding lettuce. She doesn’t care, she still thinks it must be something good.
Willow fits right in. I have to get video of her and Trixie playing. Willow almost always instigates it and Trixie is happy to roughhouse. I only allow it because Willow sets strong boundaries and Trixie listens.
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to work now that Willow has learned to jump in my lap for scritches. She’s a persistent little fluffball.
And she’s super peeved I keep dumping her into the chair next to me…
Those eyes…
They’re plotting for sure
Though they deny it…
